Douyin removes ZTO Cold Chain
On October 27th, Douyin E-commerce Security and Trust Center issued a statement: Recently, during routine inspections, the platform discovered that some logistics providers were abusing the platform's system services to offer "false logistics tracking" and "order transfer stitching" services to certain merchants, resulting in order tracking that did not match actual fulfillment, infringing on consumer rights and disrupting the platform's operational order. To cut off the chain of violations and ensure the authenticity of fulfillment, the platform will, in accordance with relevant rules, terminate the services of the following logistics providers on October 29th: ZTO Cold Chain, Jishi Da, Shuiqu Daijia, and Tiezhong Express. Upon verification, the core method of the aforementioned violations is the use of third-party electronic waybills for order transfers or stitching tracking, with the violating logistics providers playing a key role: 1. Evading platform requirements: A small number of merchants bypass Douyin's electronic waybills by shipping through third parties using non-Douyin E-commerce electronic waybills; violating logistics providers cooperate with third parties to construct false tracking. 2. Tracking stitching/order transfer: Capturing normal waybill tracking and stitching it to the "electronic waybill," making the "non-Douyin shipping order number" superficially consistent with the fake order number. 3. Bulk cheating uploads: Manually or using tools like "Order Treasure" to bulk fill fake order numbers, with the system showing "picked up/in transit/signed," but not actually fulfilling according to the tracking. False shipping and illegal order transfers can lead to delays in receiving goods for consumers, difficulties in rights protection and evidence collection, and challenges in quality and after-sales service, affecting consumer experience. At that time, merchants will no longer be able to choose the aforementioned logistics providers for shipping. To avoid impacting operations, merchants are urged to switch to compliant logistics channels as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the platform once again reminds all merchants to ship in compliance. To further enhance the shopping experience for consumers and help merchants and logistics providers avoid operational risks arising from shipping issues, the platform hereby reminds everyone to operate in compliance
