"Hong Kong Stocks" Hang Seng Index opened high at 75 points, XPeng rose over 4%, HSBC's performance before results looks good

China and the U.S. have reached a consensus on trade issues, with the three major U.S. stock indices hitting record highs, and the Nasdaq rising 1.9% driven by chip stocks. The Hong Kong stock market opened higher in the morning, with the Hang Seng Index opening up 75 points or 0.28% at 26,508 points; the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index opened up 22 points or 0.2% at 9,489 points; and the Hang Seng Tech Index opened up 27 points or 0.4% at 6,198 points.

In the financial sector, HSBC Holdings (00005.HK) announced its quarterly results at noon, with the stock opening up 1.2% at HKD 103.2. BOC Hong Kong (02388.HK) announced its quarterly results during the day, with the stock opening up 0.1% at HKD 38. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) and AIA Group (01299.HK) opened up 0.4% and 0.9%, respectively.

In the technology sector, Alibaba (09988.HK) opened up 0.2% at HKD 174, Tencent (00700.HK) opened flat at HKD 656, Meituan (03690.HK) opened flat at HKD 102, and SMIC (00981.HK) opened flat at HKD 82.8. JD.com (09618.HK), Kuaishou (01024.HK), and Bilibili (09626.HK) opened up 0.8% to 1.4%, while Xiaomi (01810.HK) and NetEase (09999.HK) opened down 0.9% and 0.7%, respectively. Baidu (09888.HK) opened up 0.3% at HKD 125.5, and Sunny Optical (02382.HK) opened up 2%.

In the automotive sector, XPeng (09868.HK) opened up 4.6%, while Geely (00175.HK) and BYD (01211.HK) opened up 0.9% and 0.6%, respectively. In the sportswear sector, Anta Sports (02020.HK) recorded low single-digit year-on-year growth in retail sales of Anta brand products in the third quarter, with the stock opening up 0.2% at HKD 88.

In the new stock sector, SANY Heavy Industry (06031.HK) opened at HKD 21.3, flat with the listing price. Cambridge Technology (06166.HK) opened at HKD 94, up 36.5% from the listing price of HKD 68.88. Eight Horses Tea (06980.HK) opened at HKD 80.1, up 60.2% from the listing price of HKD 50. Dipo Technology (01384.HK) opened at HKD 56.5, nearly 112% higher than the listing price of HKD 26.66
