Super Micro Computer (SMCI.US) announced on Tuesday that it has achieved record results in the STAC-M3 benchmark test in collaboration with Intel (INTC.US) and Micron Tech (MU.US). This benchmark test uses simulated market buy and sell quotes along with settled transaction data to evaluate the performance of real-time quantitative trading.

The benchmark test consists of two test items, one of which is Antuco, used to measure the performance of smaller data sets; the other is Kanaga, which amplifies the data volume and user load to simulate a real environment. The tests utilized Super Micro's Petascale servers, Intel Xeon 6 processors, Micron 9550 SSDs and DDR5 memory, as well as KX Software's kdb+ database
