From a regional perspective, in the third quarter of 2025, the shipment share of global AMOLED smartphone panels in South Korea accounted for 51.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8 percentage points and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 4.2 percentage points, with the quarter-on-quarter rebound mainly benefiting from the short-term boost of Apple’s new device inventory; domestic manufacturers accounted for 48.4% of the shipment share.
In terms of market structure, Samsung Display (SDC) saw a year-on-year increase of 7.1% in AMOLED smartphone panel shipments, with its market share narrowing from 45.2% in the same period last year to 43.4%, a year-on-year decline of 1.8 percentage points. Although SDC's technological advantage in LTPO backplanes still supports its high-end market position, the loss of orders in the mid-range market has intensified; BOE's AMOLED smartphone panel shipments increased by 30.8% year-on-year, marking the largest year-on-year growth among mainstream manufacturers, with its market share rising by 2.3 percentage points to 15.7%, mainly benefiting from large-scale penetration in the mid-range market and continuous breakthroughs in the high-end market; Visionox's AMOLED smartphone panel shipments increased by 16.7% year-on-year, with its market share rising by 0.5 percentage points to 12.7%, achieving effective operational strategies in the first half of the year and gaining stable demand in the mid-range market through differentiated competition; Tianma's AMOLED smartphone panel shipments increased by 28.4% year-on-year, performing well, with its market share rising by 1.3 percentage points to 10.0%, driven mainly by stable demand from key customers and continuous improvements in production line technology and yield.
