Ministry of Commerce: Encourage industries and enterprises with conditions to build an industry carbon footprint factor database

The Ministry of Commerce issued implementation opinions on expanding green trade. The opinions propose to accelerate the construction of a carbon footprint database for foreign trade products. Speed up the establishment of a national carbon footprint factor database, release and continuously update electricity carbon footprint factor data, promote research on carbon footprint factors for other basic energy and raw materials, and provide a foundation for foreign trade enterprises to calculate product carbon footprints. Encourage qualified industries and enterprises to build industry carbon footprint factor databases. Encourage international carbon footprint database suppliers to cooperate with domestic carbon footprint database suppliers
