
Briefing on the Fifth Meeting of the China-Finland Energy Cooperation Working Group
On October 23, 2025, the National Energy Administration of China and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland jointly held the fifth China-Finland Energy Cooperation Working Group meeting in Suzhou. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on key areas such as renewable energy development, green energy transition, and technological innovation. Both parties emphasized that China and Finland have a strong consensus on cooperation and vast potential in promoting green energy transition, ensuring energy security, and fostering technological innovation. In the future, they should continue to adhere to the principles of mutual respect and win-win cooperation, working together to address global energy security and climate change challenges. The meeting reviewed the selection of China-Finland energy cooperation demonstration projects since the signing of the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Energy Sector between China and Finland" in 2017. Currently, the first batch of two demonstration projects has been completed and put into operation. In 2025, based on the first batch of typical cases of China-Europe energy cooperation, three China-Finland cooperation projects were selected as the second batch of China-Finland energy cooperation demonstration projects.
