Kirkland's Home stores set to close, will not be converted to Bed Bath & Beyond

Some Kirkland's Home locations are set to shutter by the end of the year, but they will not be converted to Bed Bath & Beyond locations.The Brand House Collective CEO and Director Amy Sullivan said during an analyst call on Sept. 16. that the company would close 25 locations by January due to lease expirations and that these locations would not be included in the two-year conversion plan.The Brand House Collective announced on Sept. 15 that it sold Kirkland's intellectual property to Bed Bath & Beyond for $10 million, a move Bed Bath & Beyond said would accelerate store conversions. Upon calling the store, USA TODAY confirmed with an employee that the closure is permanent. The store is located at 19105 Bear Valley Road, Suite B.USA TODAY confirmed that the location at the Villagio Shopping Center is also slated to close, as first reported by Fresno television stations KSEE/KGPE. The store is located at 7891 N. Blackstone Avenue.USA TODAY also confirmed closures at the following locations:Gilroy: 950 Renz Lane, Suite 50Lake Elsinore: 29229 Central Avenue Suite BPalmdale: Antelope Valley Mall - 1247 Rancho Vista Blvd.Redlands: 27451 San Bernardino AvenueMarcus Lemonis, Bed Bath & Beyond Executive Chairman, said in a statement issued Aug. 20 that the company will not open a brick-and-mortar location in California. The store is located at 4870 Big Island Drive, Unit 6.New JerseyUSA TODAY confirmed with employees that the locations at Wrangleboro Consumer Square in Mays Landing and Watchung Square Mall in Watchung are set to close. Radio station WPUR first reported the Mays Landing closure on Oct 27.
