NetEase Games employees claim that the producer acts like a local emperor, with three executives leaving within a year
Recently, Li Kaiming, the producer of NetEase's "Rate of the World" and head of NetEase Interactive Entertainment's Tenth Division, left the company, becoming the third core figure at the division level to depart within a year. Prior to this, Jin Tao, president of the Zen Division, and Shao Yun, president of the Tianxia Division, also left. The three belong to different divisions but are all part of the Guangzhou faction. According to former NetEase insiders who spoke to the "BUG" column, there is internal competition between game studios in Guangzhou and Hangzhou, with the Guangzhou faction currently losing power and the Hangzhou faction in control. Additionally, there is a presence of "formalism" in internal work, where "we have to spend a lot of extra effort to make reports and meet some internal process requirements, ultimately failing to create a hit game." Furthermore, according to incomplete statistics, in the past two years, NetEase has adjusted or shut down at least seven game studios, with multiple games being removed from the shelves
