Li Auto apologizes for the MEGA fire incident

Li Auto apologized for the MEGA fire incident that occurred in Shanghai a week ago and stated that it has contacted the vehicle owners to cooperate with the investigation. The incident has not yet reached a final technical conclusion, but it was found that vehicles from the same batch had insufficient corrosion resistance of the coolant, which could lead to thermal runaway of the power battery. Li Auto has filed a recall of 11,411 vehicles with the State Administration for Market Regulation and will replace the power batteries and related equipment for free, with expected direct costs reaching billions of yuan. Li Auto acknowledged insufficient foresight in handling low-probability risks and will strengthen training and optimize early warning strategies in the future
