
Google collaborates with India's Reliance Jio to provide Gemini AI services for free to over 500 million users
Google announced on Friday that it will collaborate with India's largest telecom service provider, Reliance Jio, to offer its Gemini artificial intelligence services for free to over 500 million users. The plan includes access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, extended use of the NotebookLM learning and research tool, and 2TB of cloud storage, among other features. Google will provide Jio users with a phased rollout of Google's AI Pro plan, valued at approximately 35,100 rupees per user. The initial rollout will target young users aged 18 to 25 who are on unlimited 5G plans, offering them 18 months of early access, after which it will be fully available to all Jio users
