According to the latest media reports, SK Hynix has confirmed its position as the strongest player in the HBM market—its sixth-generation high bandwidth memory (HBM4) supplied to the world's largest artificial intelligence semiconductor company NVIDIA has seen a price increase of over 50% compared to the previous generation product (HBM3E). By successfully completing negotiations with NVIDIA regarding HBM4 supply for next year, SK Hynix has paved the way for record-breaking performance. In March of this year, SK Hynix was the first to deliver the world's first 12-layer stacked HBM4 samples to NVIDIA. After receiving positive evaluations, the company began initial supply in June. Meanwhile, SK Hynix has started price negotiations for the HBM4 required for NVIDIA's next-generation AI chip &#34;Rubin,&#34; which is planned for release in the second half of next year.
