
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rises, Novo Nordisk's stock price falls 4% after earnings
The Swedish central bank announced that it would maintain interest rates, while concerns about overvalued tech stocks led to a rise in European stock markets on Wednesday. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.4%.
Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk saw its stock price drop by more than 4% after announcing its earnings. German automaker BMW reported an EBIT of €2.3 billion for the third quarter, in line with analysts' expectations, and its stock price rose by more than 6%.
The UK FTSE 100 index rose by 66 points or 0.7%, closing at 9,782 points. The German DAX index rose by 131 points or 0.6%, closing at 24,080 points. The French CAC 40 index rose by 27 points or 0.3%, closing at 8,094 points
