
HSBC Holdings appoints Sun Wei as an independent non-executive director
HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) announced the appointment of 69-year-old Wei Sun Christianson as an independent non-executive director and a member of the Group Risk Management Committee and the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee, effective January 1 next year.
Wei Sun Christianson served as a senior advisor at Morgan Stanley after retiring in 2022. Prior to that, her last executive position was Co-CEO of Morgan Stanley Asia Pacific, and she served as CEO of Morgan Stanley China from 2006 to 2022. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Wei Sun Christianson held several senior regulatory positions at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, assisting in the establishment of regulatory frameworks and promoting the overseas listing of mainland enterprises
