The Nasdaq 100 index preliminarily closed down 0.3%. Among the constituents, Applovin preliminarily closed down 8.7%, Micron Technology, Lam Research, Marvell Technology, Arm Holdings, Kioxia, and NVIDIA fell by up to 5%, Strategy (MSTR) fell 2.6%, Honeywell rose 2.3%, Gilead Sciences rose 3.8%, Amgen rose 4.5%, and Dexcom rose 5.9%.
Merck preliminarily closed up 4.8%, Amgen rose 4.5%, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald's, and Disney rose over 2%, leading the Dow components, while NVIDIA performed the worst.
