IBM releases new quantum processor Quantum Nighthawk
IBM (IBM.US) announced on Wednesday the launch of its latest quantum processor "Quantum Nighthawk," which will allow users to execute circuits that are 30% more complex than previous IBM processors, including problems that require up to 5,000 dual quantum bit gates. IBM's stock price rose over 3% in early trading.
IBM stated that it expects to launch Nighthawk by the end of this year, followed by a version that can provide up to 7,500 gates by the end of 2026, and reach 10,000 gates by 2027
