Waymo will provide highway autonomous taxi services in San Francisco and other locations
Waymo, the autonomous driving division of Alphabet (GOOG.US), announced on Wednesday that it will launch a highway autonomous taxi service in the markets of San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.
Waymo has already launched its autonomous taxi service in Austin, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, and announced plans to expand its services to Miami, San Diego, and Washington, D.C. by 2026. The company is also testing its vehicles in New York City and Tokyo, and plans to begin offering ride-hailing services to the public in London next year
