Malaysian media tycoon Tiong Hiew King dies at 91

Tiong Hiew King, the Malaysian media tycoon and founder of a major Chinese-language media group, Media Chinese International Ltd., has passed away at 91. He was also the executive chairman of Rimbunan Hijau Group, a significant multi-industry firm in Malaysia. Tiong's media empire included influential newspapers and he played a key role in creating a global Chinese media network. His contributions to the media industry and local economy are recognized as a lasting legacy. He is survived by his wife and five children, with his youngest daughter now leading MCIL.
