China has discovered its first thousand-ton gold mine

On November 14th, the Ministry of Natural Resources announced that Liaoning Province has successfully identified the country's first thousand-ton, low-grade super-large gold deposit—Dadonggou Gold Mine. The identified gold ore volume is 2.586 billion tons, with a gold resource amount of 1,444.49 tons and an average grade of 0.56 grams/ton. This is the largest single gold deposit discovered since the founding of New China, pioneering a "short cycle, high quality" gold exploration approach in the country, further consolidating the national gold resource strategic reserve, and significantly enriching the theory of gold mineralization.
