American cable operator Charter Communications (CHTR.US) launched a new customer acquisition strategy under Spectrum, offering free home broadband service for life when users sign up for four mobile lines.

It is reported that the monthly fee for the four lines and broadband totals $120, but there is a data usage limit, and it is only applicable to users switching from other operators. If the mobile lines are canceled, the eligibility for free broadband will also be voided.

The latest financial report shows that Charter added 493,000 mobile lines in the third quarter, bringing the total to 11.4 million lines
