Samsung Electronics appoints and dismisses presidents of two major departments

According to a report by Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics announced on the 21st the personnel appointments for the 2026 regular president group, involving four presidents, including candidates for the heads of the mobile appliances and chip businesses.

Samsung Electronics' Mobile Experience (MX) Division President Roh Tae-moon has been appointed as the representative director, promoted from the acting president of the Device Experience (DX) Division to the president of this division, while continuing to serve as the president of the MX Division.

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Choi Yong-hyeon will remain in his position as the president of the Device Solutions (DS) Division responsible for the chip business and general manager of the chip business division. Harvard University professor Park Hong-keun has been appointed as president and will join Samsung on January 1 next year as the head of the research institute SAIT (formerly Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology). Samsung Venture Investment Corporation representative director and vice president Yoon Chang-hyun has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the DX Division and director of the Samsung Research Institute
