Africa Stock Market Closing Report | South African Stock Market Rises 1.4%, Gold Mining Stocks Lead

On Wednesday (November 26), the South African FTSE/JSE Africa Leading 40 Index closed up 1.41%, above 104,000 points, after opening high at 15:00 Beijing time and continuing to fluctuate at high levels.

Among the constituent stocks, Harmony Gold (HAR.SJ) rose 4.53%, driven by Impala Platinum Holdings (IMP) up 4.42%, Valterra Platinum up 4.41%, Sibanye Stillwater up 4.16%, Gold Fields (GFI) up 2.76%, Northam Platinum up 2.49%, and AngloGold Ashanti (ANG) up 2.26%, ranking seventh. Among the five constituent stocks that closed down, Prosus fell 0.22%, Glencore fell 0.30%, Vodafone Group fell 2.49%, and Anheuser-Busch InBev fell 2.57%
