Mainland smart car company Avita Technology submits application for IPO on Hong Kong Stock Exchange

According to the information document from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388.HK), Avita Technology (Chongqing) has submitted a listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with CITIC Securities Co., Ltd. and CICC as joint sponsors.

The prospectus reveals that the company is an internationally-oriented high-end emotional intelligent new energy passenger vehicle brand with independent and controllable technology, dedicated to creating a "highly attractive, highly intelligent, high-value" new luxury travel experience.

Since 2021, the company has partnered with Changan Automobile (000625.SZ) and strategic partners including CATL (03750.HK)(300750.SZ), Huawei, and other ecological partners to independently create a new luxury brand through a market-oriented approach.

In addition, Avita acquired a 10% stake in Yingwang for a total consideration of RMB 11.5 billion this February, planning to jointly create the next generation of Avita models with Yingwang in a co-creation model
