According to comprehensive reports from domestic media, ByteDance has officially launched the preview version of the "Doubao Mobile Assistant," which is directly embedded in ZTE (763) mobile phone systems. Unlike traditional apps, this AI is equipped with a dedicated physical button and "screen perception" capabilities, with the biggest technological breakthrough being its "Agent" capability, which can cross different application barriers to execute complex commands, such as selecting the cheapest food delivery after price comparison and automatically replying to WeChat messages. The entire process requires minimal user clicks, only intervening at key steps like payment. Other Apps "Downgraded" to Underlying Services The report mentions that the "Doubao Mobile Assistant" is not only a technological breakthrough but may also trigger significant upheaval in the internet industry. ByteDance, through underlying permissions and simulated operations, may compete for almost all internet application entrances. What frightens all application vendors is that Doubao seems determined to adopt a simulated operation approach, placing its own permissions above all applications.
