The central parity rate of the RMB against the US dollar was raised by 21 points today, reported at 7.0733 against one US dollar.

The People's Bank of China today (4th) conducted a seven-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market amounting to 180.8 billion RMB (the same below), with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 356.4 billion RMB of reverse repos are maturing, resulting in a net withdrawal of 175.6 billion RMB for the day.

The three major indices of A-shares fluctuated slightly and trading was light. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,879 points, up 1 point or 0.04%, with a trading volume of 408.1 billion RMB; the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 13,000 points, up 45 points or 0.4%, with a trading volume of 624 billion RMB; the ChiNext Index closed at 3,059 points, up 22 points or 0.8%, with a trading volume of 277 billion RMB.

In the banking sector, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) closed flat. China Construction Bank (601939.SH) fell by 0.4%. Additionally, CATL (300750.SZ) rose by 1.7%. BYD (002594.SZ) fell by 0.2%.

Real estate stocks were weak, with Vanke A (000002.SZ) down 0.4%. It was reported that New World Development (601155.SH) fell again by 1%. Earlier, it was reported that the company issued 2 billion RMB of medium-term notes to "borrow new to repay old."

Robot concept stocks rose, with GREATOO INTELLIGENT (002031.SZ) and LS BEARINGS (600592.SH) both hitting the daily limit.

Leading chip stocks performed well, with SMIC (688981.SH) and Hua Hong (688347.SH) rising by 2.1% and 4.7%, respectively. Technology stock Cambricon (688256.SH) closed flat.
