Insurance stocks improved in the afternoon, with China Pacific Insurance (00966.HK) rising 7%; Ping An Insurance (02318.HK) rising 6%; China Life Insurance (02628.HK) rising 4.93%; and China Taiping Insurance (02601.HK) rising 6.24%.

Morgan Stanley published a report, turning more positive on Ping An Insurance, believing that the group can seize key opportunities in wealth management, healthcare, and elderly care services, and seeing that investor concerns are dissipating, paving the way for revaluation. The firm believes that Ping An Insurance H shares remain its top choice and has added Ping An Insurance to its China/Hong Kong focus list
