Tesla Expands Lineup in Europe and the UK With New Model 3 and Model Y Standard Variants
Tesla has launched new Standard versions of Model 3 and Model Y in Europe and the UK, including the first right-hand-drive Model Y in the UK. The Model Y is priced from £41,990, offering a lease program starting at £299 per month. The Model 3 starts at €36,990 in key European markets. Both models offer reduced features for affordability, with deliveries expected in February 2026.
Tesla has officially launched the new Standard versions of the Model 3 and Model Y across the pond — including the first right-hand-drive Model Y Standard now available in the UK.
The Model Y Standard arrives in the UK priced from £41,990 (C$77,700/US$56,100), roughly £3,000 (C$5,500/US$4,000) less than the model it replaces. Tesla is also offering a lease program starting at £299 (C$550/US$400) per month at launch.
With a WLTP range of up to 505 km (314 miles) and Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), Tesla has trimmed back some features to reach the more affordable price point, but the SUV still includes the expected blend of connectivity, fast-charging capability, and everyday practicality that has made it the company’s most popular model worldwide.
The Model 3 Standard is launching simultaneously in key European markets like Germany and the Netherlands, where prices start at €36,990. It replaces the previous base RWD version, offering up to 534 km (331 miles) WLTP range and the same streamlined approach to interior and exterior design as its crossover sibling.
Unlike the Model Y Standard, which has its glass roof covered up, the Model 3 retains its panoramic glass roof, but buyers will notice fewer customization options compared to Premium trims — a trade-off some will accept in exchange for the lower sticker price.
Customer deliveries of the Model Y Standard in the UK are expected to begin in February 2026, aligning with European rollout timing for the Model 3 Standard, where production start dates are expected to be announced soon. The Model 3 Standard will come from Giga Shanghai, while the Model Y Standard will be built locally at Giga Berlin.
