Tiger Global Management announced the launch of its latest venture capital fund, Private Investment Partners 17 (PIP 17), aiming to raise between $2 billion and $3 billion.
The fund PIP 17 will be similar in strategy, scale, and structure to its recent PIP 16, which ultimately closed at $2.2 billion.
The startup behind the chatbot tool ChatGPT, OpenAI, and Waymo, the autonomous driving business under Google's parent company Alphabet, are the largest holdings in PIP 16. Tiger Global invested in both companies in 2021, and these investments have now seen significant appreciation
