
Israel begins construction of a security barrier on the eastern border
On the 8th local time, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that it has begun constructing a security separation wall in the eastern border area. It is understood that the first two sections of the wall will have a total length of approximately 80 kilometers. The total length of the separation wall will reach about 500 kilometers, expected to extend from the southern Golan Heights to the northern part of the southern port city of Eilat, with construction costs estimated at about 5.5 billion new shekels (approximately 1.7 billion US dollars).
