YZJ Maritime, CAREIT & GAR to Join iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index On Dec 22

Yangzijiang Maritime, CAREIT, and Golden Agri-Res will join the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index on Dec 22. Based on indicative weights as of Nov 28, the trio could enter among the Index’s top 15 constituents. Samudera Shipping Line, Nanofilm Tech, and Aztech Global, which currently maintain a combined 1% weightage, will move to the Next 50 Index Reserve list, joined by Marco Polo Marine, Q&M Dental Group, Delfi, LHN, OKP Holdings, Nam Cheong, and Oiltek International.Stocks of the iEdge Next 50 Index that have seen the greatest increase in trading activity in 2H25 over 1H25 include PropNex, China Sunsine Chemical, Banyan Tree, China Aviation Oil and CSE Global. The five stocks averaged 59% total returns in 2H25, while averaging 4.6x growth in 2H25 ADT from 1H25. The iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index (Next 50) comprises 50 of the largest capitalised and most actively traded Mainboard-listed stocks excluding Straits Times Index (STI) constituents.In 4Q25, the Next 50 has maintained a strong correlation with the FTSE ST Mid & Small Cap Index, with an r-squared of 0.9, while generating a 1.5% total return in 4Q25 to Dec 8. Constituent total returns were mixed, ranging from a 27% gain by CSE Global to a 19% decline for Nanofilm Technologies International.The recent results of the Next 50 December quarterly rebalance have been released here. The rebalance results were based on constituent screenings conducted on Nov 28, and will take effect with the Dec 22 open. Golden Agri-Resources, Yangzijiang Maritime Development (YZJ Maritime), and Centurion Accommodation Reit (CAREIT) and will join the Index on Dec 22. Based on indicative weightages on Nov 28, their combined weightage will be in the vicinity of 9%. Based on weightages on Nov 28, the inclusion of Golden Agri-Resources, YZJ Maritime and CAREIT would see them also rank among the 15 largest weights of the Index, as tabled below. Data as of Dec 8, 2025As detailed in the Index Methodology, to qualify for inclusion in the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index, a stock must have at least S$100 million in market capitalisation and a median daily turnover of S$100,000 over the past six months. For new listings without six months of trading history, like YZJ Maritime and CAREIT, these criteria are applied on a prorated basis. Constituents must also maintain a free float ratio of at least 15% and at each rebalance. At each rebalance, individual stock weights are capped at 5%. For example, on Nov 28, ComfortDelGro Corporation’s free float market capitalisation represented 6.2% of the index, so its weight was capped to 5.0%. That weightage can change from 5.0% based on its relative performance to the other constituents, or any corporate actions prior to the Dec 22 open. These weights may also adjust before the next rebalance in March, depending again on relative price performance and corporate actions. The full 50 constituents that will make up the Next 50 on Dec 22 are tabled below. Note the weightages are indicative as they were based on comparative free float capitalisations of the constituents back on Nov 28. Combined, the 47 of the 50 stocks that have been listed for the entire duration of 2H25, have seen their combined average daily turnover (ADT) increase from S$126 million in 1H25 to S$197 million in 2H25 (as of Dec 8). In 2H25, several stocks within the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index experienced a significant surge in trading activity compared to 1H25. These included PropNex, China Sunsine Chemical Holdings, Banyan Tree Holdings, China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation, and CSE Global.
