FTC is said to weigh antitrust objection to Henkel purchase of glue maker
The FTC is preparing to challenge Henkel's acquisition of part of Pittsburgh Paint Co., a major supplier of liquid construction adhesives. The deal, involving Henkel's purchase of Liquid Nails, faces antitrust scrutiny. The FTC's complaint could be filed soon, marking another regulatory challenge under Chair Andrew Ferguson. Henkel's adhesives division generated €11 billion in 2024 sales, while Pittsburgh Paint posted $2 billion in 2023 sales before its spin-out from PPG.
