On the evening of the 11th, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 Index reached record closing highs, and the Asia-Pacific stock markets generally rose this morning (12th), with the Hong Kong stock market up 1.4%, outperforming regional markets, and the Singapore stock market hitting an all-time high.

The Central Economic Work Conference pointed out the need to strengthen internal capabilities to cope with external challenges and to continue implementing a moderately loose monetary policy, flexibly and efficiently using policy tools such as reserve requirement ratio cuts and interest rate reductions. The People's Bank of China conducted a net withdrawal of RMB 19.3 billion through a seven-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,871 points, down 1 point, while the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 13,222 points, up 75 points or 0.6%. The Hang Seng Index rose 347 points or 1.4%, closing at 25,878 points, with a turnover of HKD 106.5 billion. The Taiwan Weighted Index rose 103 points or 0.4%, closing at 28,128 points. TSMC and MediaTek rose 0.3% and 0.7%, while Hon Hai and Quanta fell 0.4% and 0.7%.

The Japanese Nikkei Index rose 387 points or 0.8% in the afternoon, closing at 50,536 points. Hitachi and Toyota each rose 3.1%, Mitsubishi Electric rose 3.5%, and Panasonic rose 3.9%. Fast Retailing rose 2.5%. The South Korean Kospi Index rose 35 points or 0.9%, closing at 4,146 points. Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors rose 1.5% and 1.6%, while Hanwha Aerospace rose 5.4%. Samsung Electronics rose 0.9%, and SK Hynix rose 1.1%.

The Indian Nifty 50 Index rose 103 points or 0.4%, closing at 26,001 points. Tata Steel rose 2.2%, and the diversified metal stock Hindalco Industries rose 2%.

The Australian S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 93 points or 1.1% at the close, closing at 8,685 points. Gold mining stock Newmont rose 5.3%, while mining stocks Rio Tinto rose 2%, and BHP rose 1.3%. The New Zealand Exchange 50 Index rose 11 points or less than 0.1% at the close, closing at 13,406 points.

The Singapore Straits Times Index rose 55 points or 1.2%, closing at 4,575 points, reaching an intraday high of 4,576 points, a record high. DBS Bank and OCBC Bank rose 1%, UOB rose 1.8%, and CapitaLand and City Developments rose 2.9% and 3.4%. Venture Corporation rose 2%, acquiring 100% equity of Australian energy retailer and generator Alinta Group from New World Zheng's family investment flagship Chow Tai Fook Enterprises for AUD 6.5 billion, equivalent to approximately HKD 33.76 billion.

The Malaysian and Indonesian stock markets rose 0.6% and 0.5%, while the Philippine and Thai stock markets rose less than 0.1%, with Thailand dissolving parliament for a re-election. The Vietnamese stock markets in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City fell 0.4% and 1.1%
