According to reports, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon expressed support for Waller's candidacy for the Federal Reserve Chair
According to the Financial Times, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has expressed support for former Federal Reserve Board member Kevin Warsh to serve as the chairman of the U.S. central bank, while also telling Wall Street executives that White House Council of Economic Advisers member Kevin Hassett is more likely to support Trump's call for interest rate cuts.
Insiders reported that Dimon stated on Thursday night at a private meeting for asset management CEOs in New York that he agrees with Warsh's views on the Federal Reserve. Dimon also pointed out that if Hassett were to become the chairman of the Federal Reserve, he would be more likely to cut interest rates in the short term
