Mizuho's Vijay Rakesh, an analyst ranked 12th among thousands of Street stock experts, has taken a deep dive into the space and lays out the case for this nascent industry. &#34;Quantum Computing (QC) promises a major transformation in high performance compute (HPC) following in the steps of CPUs and GPUs,&#34; the 5-star analyst said. &#34;We note: 1) QC can drive exponential &gt;10,000x performance improvement vs classical/AI compute, 2) while near-term revenues could be lumpy, we see the industry beginning the steepest part of the S-curve driving revenues/earnings to 2035E and beyond, and 3) we estimate QC TAM growing from ~$1B in 2025E to ~$205B in 2035E – ~100x in 10 years. Rigetti Computing (RGTI) We'll start with Rigetti Computing, a company founded in 2013 and a major player in superconducting quantum computing. The firm has made its quantum computers accessible through the cloud since 2017 and provides a full stack of quantum solutions, both through cloud access and direct customer offerings. It also began selling complete systems in 2023, and by the end of September 2025, had 18 systems deployed. In 2024, RGTI introduced its 84-qubit Ankaa-3 system, which reached 99.0% fidelity on its two-qubit iSWAP gates and 99.5% fidelity on its fSim gates. In simple terms, &#34;fidelity&#34; reflects how accurately a quantum operation performs, while iSWAP and fSim are types of two-qubit gates that let qubits interact and exchange information. RGTI has released its Ankaa-3 system through its Quantum Cloud Services platform, and it is also now accessible on Amazon Braket and Microsoft Azure, two of its major partners. Other key collaborators include Standard Chartered Bank, Moody's, DARPA, the DOE, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and several international government organizations. The company also operates its own micro-fabrication facility, Fab-1, where it builds and tests its QPUs (quantum processing units) as part of a full-stack approach designed to accelerate customer deployments and reduce reliance on external partners. RGTI's current flagship system, Cepheus-1, is a multi-chip modular platform with 36 qubits and 99.5% two-qubit gate fidelity, first introduced in August 2025. Cepheus-1 cut error rates in half compared with Ankaa-3, while the company expects to deliver its first system with more than 100 qubits to its cloud-service partners by year-end. By 2027E, RGTI aims to reach more than 1,000 qubits with 99.8% two-qubit fidelity, which would match leading benchmarks from Google at 99.7% and IBM at 99.8%. Taken together, these milestones help explain why Mizuho's Vijay Rakesh believes investors have plenty of reasons to get behind this QC firm. &#34;We see the company well-funded with ~ $559M in cash, equivalents, and investments, we believe enough to fund operations &gt;2030,&#34; the analyst said. &#34;We see RGTI well set up for QC inflection in early 2030s with near-term tailwinds from gate-systems government funding (potential NQI at est. $2.5B to the industry), ramping compute at AWS/Azure and long-term benefits of fast research/production cycles and modular scalable architecture.
