The restructuring transaction of the semiconductor sector on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board has been terminated. Industry insiders: there are three main reasons
Recently, some restructuring transactions on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board have been announced to be terminated, particularly cases related to the semiconductor industry, which have attracted market attention. In this regard, industry insiders in the semiconductor sector analyzed that there have been many recent cases of merger and acquisition terminations in the industry, which can be attributed to two objective reasons: on one hand, the high activity level of industry mergers and acquisitions and the large base of disclosed cases have led to an increase in the number of corresponding termination cases; on the other hand, the domestic semiconductor industry has developed rapidly in recent years, with high attention and valuation levels in the primary market. Additionally, the complex shareholder structures and diverse interests of some target companies can also increase the negotiation difficulties for listed companies in mergers and acquisitions. At the same time, fluctuations in industry demand and changes in the market environment have prompted listed companies to be more cautious when advancing mergers and acquisitions, avoiding operational risks arising from hasty decisions
