Wang Xiao has been appointed as the Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China

Recently, the official website of the Export-Import Bank of China updated the "Senior Management" section to show that Wang Xiao has been appointed as a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Export-Import Bank.

The bank disclosed on WeChat that from December 8 to 10, Party Committee member Wang Xiao will conduct research in Hainan Province.

Public information shows that Wang Xiao holds a bachelor's degree in International Finance from Fudan University and a master's degree in Law from Xiamen University. His career began at the Bank of China, where he joined in August 1992 and held several important positions, including Assistant General Manager of the New York Branch, Vice President of the Fujian Branch, President of the Xiamen Branch, President of the Ningbo Branch, as well as General Manager of the Transaction Banking Department and General Manager of the Corporate Finance Department.

In July 2024, the Shanghai Regulatory Bureau of the National Financial Supervision and Administration issued an approval confirming Wang Xiao's qualifications as President of the Bank of China Shanghai Branch. Until October of this year, media reported that Wang Xiao was proposed to be appointed as Vice President of the Export-Import Bank, and he has now officially completed his new appointment.
