Senior EU lawmaker: EU will have 90% CO2 reduction target, easing 2035 engine ban

BRUSSELS, Dec 16 (Reuters) - The European Union will target a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions for automakers’ fleet from 2035, senior EU lawmaker Manfred Weber said on Tuesday. “This means all engines after 2035 are allowed,” said Weber, president of the largest party in the European Parliament, the EPP.
