Dubai To Get the World's First Mercedes City

Dubai already boasts an Internet City, a Healthcare City, and the financial city DIFC. Now, with keen strategic insight, the Gulf metropolis will add a Mercedes City in the coming years—the first of its kind worldwide. Both parties estimate construction costs at 30 billion UAE-dirhams (approximately 8.18 billion dollars). The project is scheduled for an official launch on January 14, 2026. Transmission in the Sand Covering 929,000 square metres—or 130 soccer fields—this will be the second branded residential development by Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with Binghatti Holding. The Emirati real estate company Binghatti is currently completing a Mercedes Tower in the heart of Dubai. The new project is envisioned as a «city within a city», featuring several branded towers with luxury residences alongside retail, cultural, and leisure spaces, parks, wellness and sports zones, mobility hubs, and dining and entertainment venues—all integrated into a walkable, self-sustaining urban ecosystem. The design philosophy embraces Mercedes-Benz’s «Sensual Purity,» which merges «emotion and intelligence with timeless aesthetics». Double Partnership This development also marks the first fully master-planned community in the history of Binghatti Holding under CEO Muhammad Binghatti’s leadership. Reflecting on the renewed collaboration with the German global brand, he said, «To partner once again with Mercedes-Benz is a testament to our shared philosophy of excellence, precision, and timeless design. Mercedes-Benz Places – Binghatti City is conceived as a world-class urban experience—a place where luxury and innovation converge to create a complete city within a city.» The joint venture was officially formalised at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Both companies emphasize the project’s ambition to redefine luxury living through innovative design, cutting-edge mobility concepts, and intelligent urban planning. Mathias Geisen, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG for Marketing and Sales, stated: «Creating extraordinary experiences for our customers is at the core of who we are. With our upcoming branded property project ‘Mercedes-Benz Places – Binghatti City’ in Dubai, we are elevating this promise to a new level, crafting destinations where our brand truly feels like home.» No End in Sight for the Building Boom The ongoing real estate boom in the Gulf Emirates continues to inspire numerous companies to launch projects like this. According to the construction and residential consultancy JLL, both Abu Dhabi and Dubai’s residential markets recorded strong sales activity in the third quarter, primarily driven by the off-plan segment. On a year-to-Q3 2025 basis, transaction volumes in Abu Dhabi soared by 76.2 percent, while Dubai saw a 16.5 percent increase. Amid this boom, rumours circulated in early October that Binghatti was preparing for an IPO. However, CEO Muhammad Binghatti denied these claims a few days later, clarifying that no IPO is planned and that any potential listing would be announced through official Binghatti Holding channels.
