JD.com acquires UK logistics assets

JD.com Group-SW (09618.HK) announced that its subsidiary JD Property has acquired a logistics asset portfolio located in Leicester, UK, which includes two large warehouses with a total area of over 231,000 square feet, as well as adjacent land that can be developed at any time. It is expected that this land can be developed into modern industrial and logistics space of up to 678,000 square feet to meet tenants' demand for advanced, efficient, and strategically located warehousing solutions.

JD Property stated that it had previously acquired a 361,000 square foot warehouse from Mialton in 2022, and it is anticipated that after the completion of this acquisition, the total area of its warehouses in the UK will increase to nearly 3.93 million square feet
