The Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Vitai Ratanakorn, stated that the appreciation of the Thai baht is due to an increase in gold trading volume. Vitai mentioned at a non-routine press conference on Tuesday that the revenue of 15 domestic gold traders increased by 39% in 2025
