S&P closes at a historic high

The S&P 500 Index closed up 31.30 points, an increase of 0.46%, at 6909.79 points, breaking the previous closing historical high of 6901.00 points set on December 11, and approaching the intraday historical high of 6920.34 points set on October 29.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 79.73 points, an increase of 0.16%, at 48442.41 points.

The NASDAQ Composite Index closed up 133.015 points, an increase of 0.57%, at 23561.844 points.

The NASDAQ 100 Index closed up 126.128 points, an increase of 0.50%, at 25587.83 points.

The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index closed down 0.35%, at 5803.56 points.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index closed up 0.55%, at 7184.543 points.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange KBW Bank Index closed down 0.07%, at 167.29 points.

The Dow Jones KBW Regional Bank Index closed down 0.83%, at 127.50 points
