The market digested the annualized GDP growth rate of 4.3% for the third quarter in the United States, which exceeded expectations, and U.S. stocks opened lower but rose throughout the day on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 79 points or 0.2%, at 48,442 points. Led by NVIDIA (NVDA.US), the Nasdaq closed up 133 points or 0.6%, at 23,561 points; the S&P 500 index closed up 31 points or 0.5%, at 6,909 points, setting a new record high for after-hours trading.

Technology stocks had mixed performance, with NVIDIA rising 3%, Amazon (AMZN.US) and Alphabet (GOOG.US) both up over 1%, and Apple (AAPL.US) up 0.5%. Tesla (TSLA.US) fell 0.7%, and Oracle (ORCL.US) retreated 1.5%.
