"European Stocks" Pan-European Stoxx 600 closes flat on Christmas Eve, Novo Nordisk surges 9%
On Christmas Eve, trading hours were shortened, and European stock markets saw slight fluctuations on Wednesday. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed flat.
Novo Nordisk's first GLP-1 tablet has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the stock price in Europe surged over 9%.
The UK FTSE 100 index closed down 18 points or 0.2% at 9,870 points. The German DAX index closed up 56 points or 0.2%, at 24,340 points. The French CAC 40 index closed down less than 1 point, at 8,103 points
