The local stock market fell on Boxing Day, with the Straits Times Index opening down 0.3% or 13.88 points at 4622.46 points on Friday (December 26).
As of 9:02 AM, the local stock market had a total trading volume of 50.22 million shares and a trading value of 97.11 million SGD. There were 61 gainers and 86 losers.
Among the constituents of the index, only four stocks rose, 17 fell, and nine remained unchanged.
The biggest gainer at the open was Genting Singapore, up 0.69% to 0.73 SGD; the biggest loser among the index constituents was CapitaLand Investment, which opened down 0.74% at 2.68 SGD.
