The mid-section of Beijing Subway Line 17 is put into operation, with MTR participating in the operation

MTR Corporation (00066.HK) stated that the mid-section of Beijing Metro Line 17, in which it participates in operations, officially commenced service last Saturday (27th). With the opening of the mid-section, it will connect the previously opened southern and northern sections of Line 17, achieving full line connectivity. The line will pass through several large residential areas and core business districts in Beijing, significantly enhancing the travel efficiency and experience for residents along the route.

Beijing Metro Line 17 is approximately 47 kilometers long, including 11 transfer stations, with a total of 21 stations. Its southern and northern sections were put into service in 2021 and 2023, respectively. With the full opening of Line 17, all five metro lines that MTR currently operates in Beijing are now fully connected, covering five central urban districts of Beijing, providing citizens and passengers with an efficient and convenient travel experience.

MTR Corporation's Director of Mainland China Business, Huang Kunwei, stated that the total length of the network MTR operates in Beijing is nearly 200 kilometers.
