Macau will raise the minimum wage starting January 1, 2026, with the hourly wage increasing to 35 Macau Patacas (the same below), the daily wage rising to 280 Patacas, and the monthly wage set at 7,280 Patacas. The Macau Labour Affairs Bureau stated that employers who pay wages below the stipulated amount could be fined between 20,000 and 50,000 Patacas. If employers with approved foreign employee hiring permits do not comply with legal regulations, the bureau will reassess the relevant foreign employee hiring permits
