"U.S. Stocks" Three major U.S. stock indices slightly declined, Dow Jones lost 60 points in early trading, Intel and Meta rose by 1%

U.S. stocks showed mixed performance on the last full trading day of the year, with a slight overall decline on Tuesday, but the drop was not significant. The S&P 500 index and Nasdaq hovered around flat, while the Dow Jones fell by 60 points.

Investors took the opportunity to reduce holdings in large tech stocks that performed strongly this year, with NVIDIA (NVDA.US) dropping over 0.4% and Palantir (PLTR.US) retreating by 0.7%. Intel (INTC.US) and Meta (META.US) both rose by over 1%.

Precious metal mining stocks rebounded after being under pressure, with Newmont Corporation (NEM.US) rising by 1%. Previously, silver futures recorded their worst trading day since 2021.

In market focus, the Federal Reserve will release the minutes of its December interest rate meeting at 2 PM on Tuesday. U.S. stocks will close early on Wednesday, and the market will be closed on Thursday for New Year's Day
