Recently, Beijing Bimai Sports Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as &#34;Bimai Sports&#34;) submitted an IPO filing to the Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau with the guidance of Industrial Securities.
Bimai Sports focuses on professional running shoes and has shifted its focus to online channels.
In terms of products, Bimai Sports' running shoes can even be subdivided into casual jogging and marathons. The latter can further be subdivided into applications for shock-absorbing jogging and competitive running.
From the pricing system of professional running shoes, Bimai Sports' pricing is relatively &#34;affordable,&#34; generally in the hundred yuan range.
Currently, Bimai Sports is expanding its product categories from running shoes to running apparel, accessories, and other running scene products.
If Bimai Sports can successfully go public, it is expected to inject a strong boost into the industry.
Looking back over the past three years, no traditional shoe and apparel brand company has successfully gone public in A-shares.
Zhongqiao Sports Co., Ltd. (formerly Jordan Sports) submitted an IPO application to the Securities Regulatory Commission in 2010 and was moved to the exchange for review in 2023 along with the registration system reform. However, due to trademark litigation and other reasons, it has failed to cross the listing threshold after more than a decade of attempts.
In recent years, shoe and apparel companies that have entered A-shares have leaned more towards the supply chain sector, such as the clothing brand HLA, which went public in May this year, supplying core materials like goose down and duck down for down jackets.
Some shoe and apparel brands, after failing to make it to A-shares, have chosen to shift to the Hong Kong stock market. The brand BERSHKA, known as the &#34;alternative to Arc'teryx,&#34; initiated IPO guidance in August 2023 but opted to pursue a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in April this year.
In this context, Bimai Sports' path to listing may also be a test of endurance, potentially becoming an important barometer for observing the listing of shoe and apparel brand companies in A-shares and providing more references for the industry
