CICC published a report stating that Meta (META.US) strategically acquired Manus, and the firm believes that this acquisition is a key part of Meta's efforts to consolidate Agent talent and capabilities, strengthening its AI strategy. The firm maintains its revenue and net profit forecasts for Meta for 2025 and 2026. It maintains an "outperform" rating, with a target price of $773.

The firm indicated that Manus's advantage in "execution capability" is expected to synergize with Meta's AI strategy. Manus's engineering capabilities have been recognized by the market; according to Manus's announcement, as of December 17 last year, it had processed over 147 trillion tokens, created over 80 million virtual computer instances, achieved annual recurring revenue exceeding $100 million, and its annualized run rate has surpassed $125 million. Since the release of Manus 1.5, it has maintained a monthly compound growth rate of over 20%.

The firm believes that the core of this acquisition lies in acquiring Manus's engineering capabilities and product experience in the Agent field, with the introduction of Xiao Hong aimed at strengthening Meta's leadership in AI for Agents. The firm believes that Manus's ability to handle and plan complex tasks is expected to provide clear application feedback and optimization directions for Meta's model iterations, accelerating the productization and commercialization of Meta AI
