
Chinese enterprises participate in the production of the sixth phase project of the Búzios oil field in Brazil
Petroleo Brasileiro SA announced on the 2nd that the Brazil Búzios Phase VI project, which is co-built and owned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), will officially commence production on December 31, 2025, local time. The project is located in the Santos Basin in the southeastern waters of Brazil, with operating water depths ranging from 1,900 meters to 2,200 meters, utilizing a deepwater saline development model of "floating production storage and offloading unit + subsea production system." The project is designed to have a daily crude oil production capacity of approximately 25,000 tons and a daily natural gas processing capacity of 7.2 million cubic meters. With the commissioning of Phase VI, the daily production capacity of the Búzios oil field will exceed 1.15 million barrels. (Xinhua News Agency)
