
"Hong Kong Stocks" Hang Seng Index opened high at 22 points, KUAISHOU-W rose nearly 6%
The United States has taken military action against Venezuela, causing international oil prices to initially drop and then rise during the Asian trading session. The Hong Kong stock market opened higher, with the Hang Seng Index up 22 points or 0.1% at 26,361 points; the National Index down 2 points at 9,166 points; and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 18 points or 0.3% at 5,755 points.
In the tech sector, KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) opened up 5.9% at HKD 70.15, Alibaba (09988.HK) opened up 1.4% at HKD 151.1, and Tencent (00700.HK) opened up 0.2% at HKD 624. Baidu (09888.HK) opened up 0.8%, while Meituan (03690.HK), NetEase (09999.HK), and JD.com (09618.HK) opened down 0.3% to 0.4%. Sunny Optical (02382.HK) opened down 0.7%, and Innovent Biologics (02577.HK) opened down 2%.
SMIC (00981.HK) received increased holdings from the National Integrated Circuit Fund, with its stake nearly doubling to 9.25%, and its stock opened up 0.9%. Reports indicate that Lenovo Group (00992.HK) plans to collaborate with NVIDIA (NVDA.US) to launch enterprise-level AI products, with Lenovo Group opening up 0.9%. Yushu Technology stated it is not involved in the green channel for listing applications and indicated that its A-share listing work is progressing normally, but robotics concept stocks such as 越疆 (02432.HK) and 优必选 (09880.HK) opened down 1.7% and 1.6%, respectively.
Lei Jun stated that Xiaomi (01810.HK) will invest at least RMB 200 billion in R&D over the next five years, with this year's car delivery target set at 550,000 units. Xiaomi opened up 0.8% at HKD 40.6. Nio (09866.HK) CEO Li Bin indicated that the company's sales reached a record high last year, and Nio opened down 0.7%. Other automotive stocks, including Geely (00175.HK), Li Auto (02015.HK), and XPeng (09868.HK), opened down 1.2% to 1.5%, while BYD (01211.HK) opened down 0.5%.
In the oil sector, CNOOC (00883.HK) opened down 2.7%. In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened up 0.2%, while AIA (01299.HK) opened down 0.1%
